It's a beautiful SoCal Sunday - at least that's what I'm told. Everyone went to church this morning but me and my Little Guy. He's lying on the sofa next to me. No energy. Just lying here. Sick. I'll save you the gory details, but suffice it to say, his breakfast didn't sit very well. Eww ...
When he's sick, we do have some nice conversations.
Little Guy: "Mommy, you know what I'm scared of?"
Me: "No Sweetie, what are you scared of?"
LG: "Aliens, The Grinch and the dark."
Me: "Hmm ..."
Later ...
LG: "Mommy - I can't take it anymore."
Me: "What Sweetie? Being sick?"
LG: "Yeah."

The Piggy-Back Party
On Saturday, all of our friends & most of our family joined in celebrating Kid 2's 4th birthday. When we asked him who he wanted to invite he said, "Gavin, Ian, Miss Heather, Mr. "Bozalo" ... everyone!", so we did ... sort of ...
Turns out, our fabulous teachers, Miss Heather & Mr. Gonzalo, organized a class BBQ the week before our planned party, so to make it easier for everyone (and not take up everyone's Saturday two weeks in a row), we decided to piggy-back & make it an all-out birthday bash complete with good friends, family, a "bouncie" & a sno cone machine. Can you say, "Par-tay"?!
The weather was simply glorious. The minute it got too hot, a beautiful breeze blew through (unfortunately just in time to create a bit of trouble for the birthday boy when it came time to blow out his candles).
Happy 4th Birthday, Buddy. I love you ...

Our family works hard to do our part to 'live green'. We recycle almost all of our plastic, aluminum cans, glass & paper. I thought we were doing pretty well until a friend sent me this link and I realized there is so much more we can be doing. Check it out here.
